Dakelh Nation: The Nazko First Nation is part of the Dakelh (Carrier) Nation, with a rich heritage spanning over 4,000 years in the central interior of British Columbia.
Location: Located 120 kilometers west of Quesnel, along the beautiful Nazko River. The name "ndazkoh" means "river flowing from the south" in the Dakelh language.
Leadership: Under the leadership of Chief Leah Stump, the nation is governed by principles of compassion, equality, and honesty.
Mission: "Remembering our past, we honour and support our Youth, our Elders, our Community, our Neighbours and each other."
Territory: The nation spans 1,973.10 hectares of reserve land in the rolling hills along the Blackwater River system, supporting forestry, education, and cultural preservation initiatives.
Economic Development: Through the Nazko Economic Development Corporation, the nation operates successful businesses including Nazko Silviculture LLP, Nazko Logging LP, and partnerships with NAZBEC Wood Processing Ltd.
